The Benbai Expo By GAMMA
The Benbai Expo by Gamma
(Curated by Quite Useless)
Art only exists to be admired and to inspire people to invoke an emotional response.
Despite the rising number of way in which we can discover and share art. The mainstream art world still struggles to find those undiscovered talent with too few art galleries willing to take chances on emerging artists. In this new age, there needs to be a new type of art expo that truly exhibits undiscovered talents. This is why it gives us great pleasure to present the Benbai Expo.
The Expo will be curated by Sascha Bailey of Quite Useless and will showcase art in its amazing and unexpected forms.
David Bailey will be showing his never before seen painting collection. Brian Clarke will be submitting some wonderful unexpected contemporary works. Alongside these two heavyweights of the international art scene we will be showcasing, for the first time in the U.K., artworks by the well-established Chinese artist, Benjamin Lee. Created while working with Yayoi Kusama (Benjamin worked with and shadowed Kusama for over 3 years).
The Lights of Soho, London’s premier light-based members club and gallery, will be taking over a room to show some of their favourite artists. We are also incredibly proud to be presenting along with Astariqs, the amazing middle eastern artist Asma Tariq.
The Classics Bar at the Expo will be open for the duration of the show. Where you can grab a drink in a view of works by Pablo Picasso, Miro and Dali.
Throughout the Expo there will be live painting sessions with our talented artists as well as other unexpected artistic forms.
